Well, I have been looking for ways to take my emotions out on other than getting in fights and cutting. One method I have found is journaling. Journaling is different from a diary...Journals express your feelings and emotions about what has happened while a diary lists what you did that day.
1.Get a Journal
Journals dont have to be real snazzy/fancy (although if you like them like that, that is fine too) I use a regular old notebook and decorate it as I go along...with doodles notes and such.
2.Find a Place to Hide
If you have little brothers and sisters with sticky fingers/steal things...you may want a place to keep your journal...one reason why I use a notebook and nothing fancy is because who expects a notebook to be a journal? (ex. for hiding under mattress, in closet, in bookbag, under couch, in ceiling (if you have a push up ceiling) and in a bookcase.
3.Personalize
As I said before I usually do this as I go along but some really enjoy this as it can express their feelings in pictures, crafts, stickers ect. You may decorate with pictures of friends, hand drawn pictures, doodles, stickers, anything that expresses your want to write in it and expresses your feelings.
3.Write
There are topics to write about such as sports, school, drama with friends, guys/girls....you can write anything down to "get it off your chest".

Ram-Try it...it really helps...tonight i am proud to say i havent cut in 3 weeks and i didnt give in ttonight even though my bf broke up with me in RL.....instead of cutting i scrribbles and wrote...felt alot better
