Hey everyone, Welcome to the first (official) lesson of Japanese.
In this blog, I will just be covering all of the numbering for Lesson 1.
It will include: The Rest That I Miss On Part 1 and a BONUS! :3
The Rest
You basically do the same thing with 30, 40, and so on...
Sanjuu: 30
Yonjuu: 40
Gojuu: 50
Kyuujuukyuu: 99
and so on and so forth...
By The Way
Remember the word nensei?
Well, you just add a number (the year of high school or college you want to say) to the beginning of nensei.
Ichinensei: "1st year student"
Ninensei: "2nd year student"
Sannensei: "3rd year student"
Yonensei: "4th year student"
You mightn't noticed that 4th year starts with yo instead of yon. This is because the numbers change slightly sometimes as you will see more later. But it's not that hard to remember and I will point out these changes.
Conclusion
Okay, so that is all for numbers for now. I will teach you how to count higher later. :b
