My brother has done a interview on FireMatt12's website, DSiPlaza. He would like to share it with the world. Here it is,
Q."Who are You?"
A. "My name is Matt (FireMatt12). I'm almost 15 years old, a freshman in high school. I created DSiPlaza.com"
Q. "What's DSiPlaza?"
A. "DSiPlaza is an social network I started back in late 2009. I created it simply because I was bored and I wanted to make something like others have. I didn't know anything about making a website and it started off as a single page with a few links here and there, but now it is massive and filled with active users."
Q. "What are the features of DSiPlaza?"
A. "DSiPlaza has several features such as status updates, private messaging, custom profiles, a virtual store (earn points around the website and spend them on virtual rewards), and much more. Upcoming features include vPC 3, which is an online desktop computer designed specifically for use with the Nintendo DSi Browser, and possibly in the far future an MMORPG game."
Q. "Say I don't own a DSi, how can i get on DSiPlaza?"
A. "Nintendo DSi is the best way to view the website, but if you don't happen to own one, you can use a smartphone such as an iPhone/iPod touch or Android. If you don't own any mobile device, or you just want to view DSiPlaza on your computer, you can check out PC Plaza. Unfortunately, PC Plaza is not available right now and is being reconstructed, but I hope to have it back soon!"
Q. "What gave you the idea to make DSIPlaza?"
A. "A few months after I got my DSi, I came across a website that was made especially for the Browser. Of course, I had run into many others as well, but this one was special. It was essentially a system of keeping multiple webpages open at one time, a "tabs" system (the title of the website was DSiTabs). But apart from the tabs, it had its own community; a little group of individuals who visited it often and hung around each other. As it grew, I was fascinated by the features that were added. Status updates, blogs, private messages, friend lists, and a whole lot more worked their way in. Over time, I began to wonder how this was even possible... Many other DSi users were creating very small, primitive websites that no one even cared about. I wanted to make a difference, create something everyone loved, like DSiTabs."
Q. "Anything Else before I go?"
A. "Yep.
Just remember that DSiPlaza is safe and kid-friendly; even though I don't recommend sending your 6 year old sister to DSiPlaza, it's perfectly safe for kids around the age of 10 or above. Inappropriate material is censored and we have a very strong ban system to keep the rule-breakers out!"
