Writer's note: This was written for my G.R.A.D.E. final essay. I just thought SDK would need this.
Hey guys! I just finished the G.R.A.D.E., a program about Gang Resistance And Drug Education. Today I’m going to talk about internet safety. The things I’m going to cover are the Internet, Cyber Stalking, and chatrooms.
First on the list: The Internet. There are tons of things you can do on the internet, like playing games. But you can get viruses that can steal information, ruin you computer, and more, so be sure not to get a virus. You can also do research online. In fact, there are even websites that help you with homework!
Next up is Cyber Stalking. In the G.R.A.D.E. packet, cyber stalking is defined as online contact or luring of children, rude or threatening messages, spreading lies about someone, or repeated, unwanted messages. If someone cyber stalks you, tell an adult. It is agenst the law to cyber stalk, cyber bully,or cyber harass.
Last up is chatrooms. Almost all chatrooms have a topic. It is recommended NOT to share your address, phone number, or anything about yourself online. If you get banned, unless you have proof it was for no reason, don’t try to avoid it or you might have an even longer ban!
Every day, hundreds of clindren in the U.S. alone are kidnapped because they were not following these rules. Don’t let one of them be you. Don’t give out information about yourself
