ALL POKÉMON BLACK/WHITE VERSION OWNERS! The Dream World IS, that's right, IS now open in the USA! Tap the ONLINE area in your C-gear, and then you know what to do from there. Select the Pokémon to send to sleep, and then you will need to wait for quite a while in terms of DSi Wi-fi. After all, it needs to transfer the Pokémon to your account on Pokemon.com. Yes, you will need an account. -_-
Now the review part.
Really, all I'll do is explain stuff, then maybe add my opinion of this and that.
[Note: I've only been to the Dream World once!]
Anyways, once you get access to the Dream World, you'll probly like it a lot. It is pretty unique, after all. The way it works is explained by a professor who made the PC System in B/W.
Here are the following things availible that I know of: (I don't remember the official names though.)
-Your own house
-A garden for growing berries, technically berries are the currency in the game.
-A catolog where you can buy diffrent houses, furniture, and other berries, I think. All which is bought with berries of course.
-Your house is decoratable with furniture!
-A swap shelf, where you place an item on it, then, anyone who visits your island can exchange that item for one of their own.
-A forest that is like a maze, if one of the bushes or trees, etc., starts shaking, click it an a Pokémon appears. If you choose to play the game it wishes to, then once you finish playing the Pokémon can be wished for (Hard to explain, just read ahead...) once you get to the Tree of Wishes, I think it's called. To get there, just walk around the forest a set amount of times (A meter shows how many times you need to change locations before it appears.) and it will appear once the meter reaches the tree. No matter where you change locations, the tree will appear. There, you can choose from the Pokémon you ecountered an befriended (By playing their game) and wish for them to appear in your B/W version. Then, you can find the Pokémon in the Entreé forest in the Entralink (I think that's what it's called.)
You can only spend one hour on the Dream Sync world! Although personally, I spend less then 30 minutes on it.
Here's what a house in the Dream Sync would look like (It's really pimped out with furniture compared to mine. I don't even have any furniture...)
You can also have Dream Pals, which is pretty much friends. I don't know much about it, as I have none. You WILL get visitors quite alot, too. There's a button you click called "Dream pal map" which displays your home, and a random Dream Sync user's home. Go there and explore, eh? You can water people's gardens too. And of course, you can acess their own Share Shelf. (Above I called it the swap shelf)
That's about it for now, I'd love to explain more, but I think you should explore the rest yourself... If your a Pokémon fan with B/W, head over to Pokémon.com now! And don't forget to send your Pokémon to sleep!
NOTE: Some Pokémon are unable to access the Dream World. They probly aren't in it yet.
Okay, HERE's the review part.
Graphics: 8/10
The graphics look like they were colored with a colored pencil. This isn't an insult by the way, I'm just describing the graphics.
Gameplay: 7/10
Okay, the main way to navigate is through by clicking arrows, nothing really special. There are also some minigames, they do sometimes get old after a while...
Fun rating: 7/10
It might get old after a while.
Uniqueness: 9/10
Pokémon playing online is totally unique, but the only bad thing is that it's all having to do with dreams. I mean, it's kind of a popular topic thing.
Overhall rating: 8/10
It's a pretty nice overhall, in some areas it's awesome, in others it's childish.
Oh, by the way, to sign up for the Pokémon website, go there, and in the top right corner somewhere there's a login area. There is also a register area.
By the way, I would set your age higher then you really are, unless you want to make a parent account. That takes up a bunch of time. -_-
I set mine to 15 and it was fine. I'm not saying you have to, but if your parents don't care what sites you join, you mine as well.
Well it can't have anything to do with upgrading anything for me, because a friend and I tried at school and it was the same computer, and it worked for him, but not for me ):
I beat the minigame, chose my Eeveelution, it was Flareon. It won't give it to me, though... I'm not sure how to get it into my Dream World area thingy..
For me, I had to make a new account, as I had made one long ago. I had the same issue, when I logged in, it took me to the login screen on Pokemon.com.
I believe you need updated Java and Flash, for this to work on your Browser, people. It didn't work on the Macs at my Library, but works fine[albeit laggy] at home on PC...
