Usually when somebody asks me how I got my cat Sweetie "Oh I we found her in my yard and brought her in the house." That's not the full story. So here it is. One day I was playing the computer. The computer is right next to te window. So I was sitting playing my computer game then all of a sudden I see a flash of brown running around the yard and thinking it was a squirrel I continue my computer game I see it again, then I turned to see what it was and it was this big, fat, ugly, brown cat that looked like it was pregnant! I told my Mom and she tried to chase it away because we have woodchucks living in a wood pile in our yard!

A few weeks later my Mom was closing the curtains when she see's two little kittens outside a black one and a gray and white one. She decided not to chase them away because they were little.

A few days later the black kitten kept coming in in our yard. This time my brother Christopher kept trying to scare it away. But my Mom said to stop because when she actually saw the kitten it looked scrawney and thin. So whenever my Mom saw that kitten outside she quietly sneaked outside to see what the cat would do. And mornings and nights my Mom would put food outside for the kitten. Then finnaly one day the kitten went to my Mom and nuzzled her as if she were saying "Thank you!"

So after that we kept waking up at 6 in the morning because the kitten would be scratching at our screen door. So we went out fed her, and after awhile played with her. That's when we found out "it" was a girl. I was surprised at how much she trusted us and how much we bonded in such a short time. Because of that she had been so loving and effectionate. That's why we named her Sweetie.

About a week later my Mom let her come in the house during the day time and let her outside at night. Because we had such a hard time litter-box training her. Then finnaly we used the bathroom in her litter box because we didn't let her go outside.
