this is the summary of Blue Fingers: A Ninja's Tale
Blue Fingers by Cheryl Aylward Whitesel is historical fiction and is an adventurous story that takes place in Japan in 1545, which is during the Kamakura period. It is about Koji and Taro who are twin boys. It is considered extremely unlucky to have twins and is believed to bring misfortune to all who encounter them and disgrace to the family. The parents try to hide the fact that they are twin boys. Even though they are identical in appearance, Taro is more outgoing and brave and Koji is just the opposite. He is not confident in himself. After Taro saves the life of a master dye maker, the man wants to reward him with an apprenticeship, which is considered a high honor. The parents, without telling the dye maker, sent Koji to become the dye maker’s apprentice instead of Taro. Koji became very homesick and was unable to succeed, so he was sent home. He felt very ashamed that he let his family down, so he ran away and was captured in the forest by people who call themselves “grass”, but as Koji later finds out, he is being held hostage by ninja and is forced to learn their ways. After training with the ninjas, and gaining their trust, Koji goes on missions and becomes a full-fledged ninja. He still thinks about his family, but he must forget about his old life. Koji must learn to survive in the mysterious and dangerous world of ninja and fulfill a destiny far from what he could have ever imagined.
this is a sequel of the book that i am going to make a new series out of.
As Koji trained relentlessly, his skills increased as well. Because of his improved skills, Koji was dispatched on many missions. One day he was assigned a mission from Dark Fire. The mission involved Koji teaming up with another member of a ninja clan for reinforcements. So Koji prepared for his mission, he packed his shinobi shozoku, flute, shuriken, incense, and everything else he might need for his mission. After receiving the last details of his current mission, he started his journey to get to the first destination for the first part of his mission. The first part of his mission was to arrive at an outpost near the chili shop called “The Chili of Life” and get the directions for the second part of his mission. Koji walked several days and once he got to the outpost, he was ambushed. Koji took action almost immediately; he threw down his backpack and reached into his pouch to grab a couple shuriken. Koji threw the shuriken at the three enemies to his far right. He hit the enemies with amazing precision. But as he turned around, he was unprepared for the enemy to attack from above. Koji was bleeding from the side of his face; he was only able to slightly dodge the incoming attack but not enough to fully protect himself. Koji stood up and brought out his kunai knife. As two enemies approached in opposite directions, Koji tossed down a smoke bomb and jumped up into the air. Then he threw his first kunai knife wrapped in a paper bomb at the spot where he jumped from. He disabled the two enemies and now was in a close combat fight with another enemy. The enemy thrust his kunai at his gut, then at his face and kept striking persistently, but Koji succeeded in blocking every attack. As Koji dodged the last knife lunge, he rolled around the enemy and thrust the kunai knife into the enemies’ spine thus paralyzing the enemy. Koji was exhausted, so he picked up his bags and started to walk again leaving seven defeated enemies behind him. Koji arrived at the second destination where he met another ninja. The ninja’s name was Naruto and he was very well trained. Naruto informed Koji about his current situation. The problem was that Lord Orochimaru has nearly destroyed Naruto’s village and is launching a second attack on it soon. So Koji and Naruto must stop Lord Orochimaru from getting to the village. Naruto told Koji that Lord Orochimaru has many apprentices that are extremely dangerous. After resting that night, Koji and Naruto set off on their mission to stop Orochimaru. Along the way, Koji and Naruto encountered Kimimaru, an apprentice of Orochimaru. Naruto activated his shadow clone jutsu which made clones of himself that would help fight Kimimaru, but the clones were easily defeated. Koji grabbed his flute and used a sound-style jutsu called mind destruction sound prison. The jutsu affected Kimimaru and made him unable to move his body. This was a perfect opportunity for Naruto to use his rasengan on Kimimaru. After Naruto used his rasengan, Kimimaru was defeated. Naruto and Koji could now continue their mission. After a two-day journey to the village hidden in the leaves, Koji and Naruto went to the ramen shop to celebrate their recent victory. Suddenly, Naruto felt a feeling that only true evil could create. So Koji and Naruto hurried outside only to see Orochimaru standing eight yards in front of them. Naruto was furious, how could Orochimaru kill so many innocent people? Koji and Naruto got into positions for battle. Could this be the end of Orochimaru’s power or will Naruto and Koji be defeated allowing Orochimaru to destroy the village? Read Blue Fingers: Lord Orochimaru’s Reign by Austin Amend to find out.
