Sound: Sonic Generations incorporates music from Sonic's past, including Green Hill, City Escape, Rooftop Run, and more. Including some original music, and you can unlock music to choose on a stage.
Graphics: Graphics don't seem like they can't get any better. Water looks like water, destroyed cars look like destroyed cars, and trees look like strange alien-like trees.
Gameplay: Classic Sonic runs surprisingly smooth, but floaty at points. Certainly his gameplay is better than Sonic 4's. Modern's is smooth, fun, and fast, except when he goes 2D. He goes slow, and has to take his time going over obstacles, like classic.
Replay Value: High. Playing some of the best levels in Sonic history again wouldn't be any type of bother whatsoever.
Sonic Generations. The game where it seems Sega listened to their fans. Annoying fans. Like mentioned, this includes Classic Sonic, who is brought to the past with Modern Sonic. The 2 realize that they must team up and work together to get time fixed and go back to their own time period.
Classic is the same old Classic you played 20 years ago on the Genesis/Mega Drive. He's all 2D, just how I assume you guys like it. I seem to think Classic is harder to play in Dreamcast and Modern era stages, because of the more, "advanced" levels and more complex enemies. When trying to control classic to jump on an enemy, he lands, right next to them, causing you to lose all your rings. ALL of them. Classic is smooth, but his jumps lack in air.
Modern Sonic, like I said, moves smooth, only when 3D. But they make it pretty hard to stick a landing with him. His attacks aren't as good as I expected. When using a Homing Attack, he launches, but when he hits them, they disappear, but so does Sonic. He dies, or loses all his rings. Or, if you boost and you're trying to get past an enemy, the boost will fail, and the enemy will get you. Bosses with his engine can be a hastle. Perfect Chaos to be exact. During Phase 2, the platforms rise, and you're expected to land on each one fine without any sort of falling whatsoever. Other than that, he plays fine.
Missions can't be any more stupid than they already are. When racing Amy on floating hammer, to rescuing more Chao than Cream, to doing a homing attack music challenge with Vector. You'll probably be wondering, "What does this have to do with saving time and space?" That's exactly what I'd like to know.
Overall: Both Sonics in this game are fun, and fast. Sonic fans: I recommend this to all of you.
