Today, I'll tell you about the Nintendo 3DS update that came on the 6th of December 2011. The update was delayed to December 8th, but it came out two days earlier and is included with the following:
-3D video recording
-Hulu Plus
-Upgraded Mii Plaza
-eShop Demos
-Upgraded Friends list

I'll talk about the software included with the firmware update in the order of them on the list.

3D Video Recording
When the update is here on the 3DS, you'll get the opportunity to record 3D video with your Nintendo 3DS! You can record up to 10 minutes of 3D footage! The videos will save to your SD card and you can upload them on your computer. You can choose to record small footage, timelapses, stop-motion animation, and all of them can be recorded up to 10 minutes, with each 20 slides on timelapses to be equal to 1 second. . The 3D video recording option is located in the Nintendo 3DS Camera channel. You can also edit your videos but you can only edit the speed and the sound. You cannot save it like that. Pausing the video will enable you to save the "frame" it's on. Sound cannot be recorded if you record videos with the 3DS Camera "lever" on.

Hulu Plus
Hulu Plus will be available in the éshop for free sometime next month. Hulu Plus is an online video streaming application on the 3DS. You'll be able to watch current TV shows and the older ones. Hulu Plus will not be free unless free trial is promted or if you have unlimited membership.

Upgraded Mii Plaza
An all new adventure awaits you and your friends in the new MiiQuest on the Streetpass Mii Plaza. This new challenge available with the firmware update will will excite you. New forked roads, 2-hero battles, and all-new monsters to fight. The all-new adventure of MiiQuest 2 will only come into your system if you've updated your system AND if you have all of the hats so far. New attacks will be available, for example, mixed magic. If you attack with two reds or two blues, the damage will be 45 HP. After you beat Find Mii Two for the first time, you can restart and then the map will be twice as big with harder paths and levels. You can only get to that quest if you don't use A LOT of wandering heroes. A lot of hats were made and it's very challenging to get because the more you complete it, the harder it is to get a hat. On the fifth time you restart, you only get a hat after you beat the final boss. This has happened to me.

Puzzle quest
The new puzzle quest will get you excited as you would be if you wanted to see a picture move around-- in 3D! New puzzle panels will be added to your 3DS, even if you haven't even finished all of the puzzles yet. New pink blank puzzle spots will be only found on Streetpass and some puzzles will have 40 pieces which makes it very difficult. It will get you very anxious to finish it and see it in 3D. The new puzzle panels include the following: Mario Kart 7, Super Mario 3D Land, Starfox 64 3D, Ocarina of time 3D, and Donkey Kong Returns.

eShop demos
The demos on the eShop are out right now. These will eat up your memory, but they are fun. The demos are only on Retail games, however. There will be a great number of demos as the world progresses through 2012.

Upgraded Friends list
The upgraded Friends list includes an option to join someone's game while they're playing online.

The update came on December 6th, 2011. There is no way that you don't have it.

Future information
The Swapnote app, known as Nintendo Letter Box in European countries, is out now and is free in the eShop. Swapnote allows you to send hand-written messages to your friends or on Streetpass over wireless connection. The more notes you send, the more you unlock. You can send messages through Spotpass and Streetpass. You can unlock sound, sound savings, picture savings, backgrounds, and a 3D pen effect.
