Some might have expected this but, here it is! A review for the downloadable eShop game Pushmo, the game of pushing blocks.
Pushmo was developed by Intelligent Systems, the genius' who brought you the Paper Mario series you all know and love. Once again, they have created an addicting masterpiece.
Gameplay: As Mallo, (the star of the game), you jump, pull and push your way to save children. His jumping skills are really smooth, like an actual jump. Pulling doesn't really matter.
Sound:Music is catchy, but the game only has about 4-5 tracks.
Puzzles:There are 11 worlds with 18 puzzles in each, including morals(puzzles of things)challenges, and much more. They can be as clever and as tricky as ever, and can sometimes take up to 30 minutes just to figure one out, which adds some value.
Replay Value: After beating the game, you might not wanna play the puzzles they made. NOT TO WORRY THOUGH. The Pushmo Studio lets you make nearly 120 pushmo puzzles of your own. Here's the catch, you can't make the customize square any bigger. But still really entertaining.
3D: The 3D just adds depth to the game, not eye popping or anything.
Pushmo, the forth original game for the eShop. For an unhighly anticipated game for the eShop, it can get really addicting. When you can't figure out the puzzle in this game, you don't wanna quit;you wanna play it until you get it right, which can be challenging in this game. There will be a time where a puzzle with have a square outline, and to diagonal squares in the middle. It probably doesn't sound tough, but when you play the game, it is. Morals are fun to play on. Morals include, a chick, a strawberry, a peach, etc.
If you beat the beginning tutorials, you unlock Pushmo Studio, which can add at least 30-40 minutes playing this game. You can make almost anything(except it looks like it went through an NES machine).
Overall:Pushmo is a delight for anyone with a 3DS. I recommend this to anyone who is a fan of puzzles, sumo creatures, and creative enjoyment.
