My Rant on the HelpDesk By IronShadow

Salutations everyone, IronShadow here to do his, what I guess I can call, very first rant! Anyways, back to business, I'm sure many of you have gone on the helpdesk to ask a question in reguards to your situation, maybe caught up on the FAQs on the page, ect. Though for quite some time, the helpdesk has been flooded with the same stuff over and over again, and it's annoying having to read the same post 10 times a day asking how to put pictures on your profile. Also when there's a bug on the site, to not spam the entire helpdesk with over 15 posts stating it. Finally, New feature requests!!! What annoys me about those, is that members ask the most impossible things for the site! Take for example, adding a video chat feature for the site, it's not possible to do for the Dsi or 3DS, so what makes you think it will be implemented? Think about it and go through all of the variables, can the dsi/3ds handle it? Does it go with the flow of the site? Little stuff like that.

The helpdesk is yes, a place for members to go and get some extra help, know some of the basics on the site if your new, and even throw in your suggestion or two, but much of the stuff is just plain ol' silly. So please everyone, lets quickly turn to the helpdesk for your every little concern. Some of you may be asking yourself, what can we do as a member to help keep serious business on the helpdesk? Well for one, if you have an issue, or question, before turning to the helpdesk, ask a few members or friends on the site and see if they can help you out, many of the members on here are friendly and more than likely would be glad to help out. If your positive no one can help you with your problem, look through the FAQs on the Helpdesk, and Bulletin Board and see if any of those catagories pertains to you. If all else fails, go ahead and drop a question on the Helpdesk, and the secretaries will help you out.

If everyone as a community can follow these simple guidelines, the helpdesk would for one thank you, and improve the communication from member to member. Thanks everyone for reading, and hope this can start happening soon!

Personally I think the admins who run the help desk do a really bad job. And lose the coding.

Worst one I've ever seen was a request to be able to make an RPG all from the DSI, here with multiplayer capabilities.

I've gotten so that I just delete most of the Help Desk posts without responding. The vast majority of them are duplicates of others or items in the FAQs.
