Projcet Glass, Google's new invention?

On April 4th, 2012, Google unveiled a long-rumored concept called "Project Glass,Which works like a smartphone and you have to place it into wearable eyeglasses.The see-through lens could display everything from text messages to maps to reminders. They may be capable of showing video chats, providing turn-by-turn directions, taking photos and recording notes -- all through simple voice commands, according to a concept video produced by the company and released on YouTube.Problem is, its nowhere near complete. Google explains that it only went public with its effort to gather outside feedback. The project has been underdevelopment for two years with a small team of engineers.The "heads-up display" glasses were born in Google's Google X lab, which is the same future-thinking research facility that developed a driverless car and is working on a space elevator. Google has no date on which it will be released on sale yet. Google X engineers are beginning to send a prototype outside the lab walls. The team still hasn't decided whether to make the device wirelessly powered by a smart phone or let it be a stand-alone."We think technology should work for you -- to be there when you need it and get out of your way when you don't," the company said on its Google+ page.
Google made a video on Youtube in which i will put the link at the bottom for you to watch and see how it works. Well i thought it was an interesting topic to research. Hopefully its final version will go up on shelves in a store. If not there are still the idea of these kind of glasses that may work in the future.

Think where this kind of technolgy could take mankind! Think about it, T.V's that could change channels just by talking, Cars that could drive just from you thinking! Think about how it could revoloutionise the world! Who cares if you see a guy walking down the street with glasses on looking like he just came back from a kesha concert, its the science that counts!

To be honest, I've always wished in the back of my mind that I had been born 20 years from now, so I could experience all of the (hopefully) awesome tech the future has in store while I'm still young.
I've had a list of things I wish would be invented before I turn 30. Looks like this can almost be checked off.
