Sometimes the world's history makes me mad, and what happened to my people makes me really sad. The world can still shape up to be a better place but hundreds of years ago that wasnt the case. Here's a bit of history that has to do with my family, and of why hatred in the world is not the key. Of What happens when you take someones things and try to live like you're their king.
So we're an Arizona tribe.
We've got nothin to hide, We're native American and got nothin but pride. They can take our land and push us away, but there ain't no way we're gunna beg 'em to stay. They mock us nd stalk us. But we stand tall when they push us we don't fall. We gather our horses, weapons and traps. Cuz we ain't standin for that white settler's crap.
We give a war cry, and well thats the end of that. We get our land back and give each other a pat.
But there's something I want you to know before the end of this rap, I don't mean to give any white people any crap. Cuz some aren't like their ancestors were, some tried to help us,sure. But I'm just tryin to emphasize what they did to our kind
But it dint break us cuz our kind's got an unbreakable bind. I don't wanna offend no one and make them feel bad, but I'm just sayin what's written In history books makes me feel real, real sad.
I wish they knew then what we know now, that if the worlds full of hate it might just explode with a POW!
Thanks. I wrote it but my friend jayson raps it at our community talent show. We just wanted people to know how we felt even though it kind of potrayed non native americans badly, we have nothing against them. I just wish all minorities were accepted equally.
Accepted, Reason: It's good. I would have put it in inspirational. I'm sure you're not the only person who thinks like this. As a minority myself (I'm a lesbian) I know what it's like to be looked down upon. It's not pretty, it's not good, it's just plain sickening. I like the message you send in this.
