It all started on a clear, sunny day in 2009. I was 13 years old and as excited as I could be. Why? Because the new generation of gaming was being released. That's right, the Nintendo DSi. I didn't have much money back then but luckily I had my old, black DS. I remember my mother driving me up to the GameStop on the day the DSI was being released. I knew exactly which one I wanted. The bright blue one. I didn't care what others thought. I liked that color and that was all that mattered.
The second I arrived home that day I torn open the box. I never dreamed that what awaited me in that box would last up until this very day and even later. I had that DSi for a month or so. I played games and enjoyed it. But I had yet to discover the Internet feature. I ended up surfing the web a couple of times but wasn't too happy with the quality of it.
One day, I Googled the fateful words on my DSi: "Games for DSi". The first suggestion that popped up sounded promising. DSiCade. I played the games on there and was actually impressed that someone could format web pages like that and turn them into games. I played every game on Cade except for one. It was titled "ShoutBox". I thought that it would have to do with using the microphone. Knowing that my voice was still relatively high, I was hesitant to click on it. I was relieved and awed by what I saw there. People from all over the world were chatting live. I knew immediately that I wanted some part in this. I watched and linked there for some time until I was finally ready to setup a Gmail account and register on DSiCade.
When I first chatted there I believe that my username was "Nintendodude". Not very creative. I eventually changed that when I saw others with similar usernames. Thus, the username that would be well-known, POSESSED[carson], was born. I was your typical noob. Dated, mini-modded, etc. I got to know some people and became fairly popular. My goal from the start was to become admin. I never did. That is what led my on my adventure to a new, unknown site.
Two of my best friends by the usernames of "SeanKim" and "cnm_nintendo" introduced me to DSiCade's rival, DSiPaint. They told me about how many admins there were and the chances of being one were high. That sounded attractive to me. Keep in mind that they at this time hated DSiPaint so I went along with them. They told me to create an account and email the owner about becoming admin. Their plan was sinister. They wanted me to become admin then raid all of the unsuspecting users by banning them. To be honest, I did send HullBreach that email with those intentions. Thankfully, I never got a reply. I lied to my friends and told them that Hull did reply and said that he would make me admin eventually. Me being my show-off self. That plan slowly died into non-existence.
Afterwards, I decided to get to know some people on DSiPaint. I still felt like I was betraying my home team by even being there, but that didn't matter to me. Of course, I was ultra-noob. Dated, swore, spammed, and more of which will be unmentioned. Mid-2010 was when people started to notice me. They would say hi to me when I entered a chatroom and I was making friends. I liked it here. I still went of Cade every once in a while until I picked a fight with the wrong admin. This particular admin was and is still ban-hungry. I ended up being perma'd from DSiCade. My days there are now over. But my days here are just beginning.
"They told me about how many admins there were and the chances of being one were high" -What a load of crap. XD
My dad originaly bought a dsi in 2009 for my sister but she was missbehaving so he gave it to me instead, I remember how excited I was because it had a camera xD. Then I discovered dsicade, and I went in the shoutbox, and my name was "loui" (I know, lame.) but I just got ignored. Then I came here and checked out the site and the next day I made an account. I was such a noob.
I googled 'Dsi websites' and found Home4Dsi. I came here by chance when an admin mentioned Dsipaint. So I came here, met some people, then left. Came back 4 months later as Lakhlan01.
