July 2012 Pokemon Black/White Tournament By IronShadow

Alright, Hey there kiddies of SDK. Haven't made a blog in a while, so here goes nothing.

As of lately I've been getting into Pokemon competitively, and have been looking for a decent challenge, and haven't had much luck. So to fix this problem, I thought to myself, why not make a tournament! So Thus the purpose of this blog.

Some of you may be wondering, what are the rules for these here Tournament. Well here you go:

1.There will be a list of banned Pokemon, to make the game as fair as possible. I will be using the Smogon Banned List so these are the pokemon that are banned from this tournament: All Arceus Forms, Blaziken, Darkrai, Deoxys and all of it's forms, Dialga, Excadrill, Garchomp, Girantina, Girantina O, Groudon, Ho-oh, Kyogre, Lugia, Manaphy, Mewtwo, Palkia, Rayquaza, Reshiram, Shaymin S, Thundurus and Zekrom.

2.The obvious no hacked moveset, abilities, or stats of any pokemon on your team. If your opponent suspects you for having a hacked Pokemon, they are able to quit the battle and report to me their claim, and depending on the extremity of the offense, will determine if a re-match would be allowed or the hacked Pokemon user be Disqualified.

3. The Tournament will focus ONLY on the Black and White Versions of the Game, No Soul Silver, Heart Gold, Platinum, Diamond, and Pearl.

4. You cannot have two of the same Pokemon on your team, regardless if they have a different form. I.e Two Pikachus

5. The Tournament will be a 1 game Elimination, Winner advancing to the Next Round.

6. The Tournament will be Single Battle, No Wonder launcher, no restrictions.

Now of course a tournament has to have a reward. Since this is my first tournament in a while, I'll make the prizes simple, and later hope to aim for more rewarding prizes, such as completely Legitimate Shiny Pokemon of your choosing (Minus Legendaries)

For 3rd place you will be awarded your choice of either 500 Savii Points or 10 Savii Bucks

For 2nd Place you will be awarded 1000 Savii Points or 20 Savii Bucks, or possibly, if I can get it in time, a secret event pokemon

For 1st Place, you will be awarded 4 Event Pokemon: A Shiny Raikou, Shiny Entei, Shiny Suicune, and a Celebi that was obtained through the Zorua thingie mabober. If you already have these, then we can discuss another prize for you.

So there you have it kiddies. To participate in the tourney, Post a Comment in either, this blog, my profile, or message me with Your Pokemon Name and FC. The more entries we have, the bigger the tournament, so tell your friends, and have their friends tell their friends!

The Tournament will begin when there have been a decent amount of entries. A rough estimate to when that will be is possible the end of this week, so you have until then to get you strategy together and make the best pokemon team you possibly can!

So for whoever is wanting to join the tournament, I'll give you guys a week or so to get your teams ready. IF you guys could, please ask some of your friends if they would like to participate. The more people, the more fun this tourney will be. thanks everyone who has responded so far, I'll make a future blog soon when I feel enough people are ready

I'll make an exeception to the banning of Pokemon since so many of you are complaining. Blaziken is NO LONGER banned, and is usable minus it's new DW ability Speed Boost, that Blaziken is still banned, anything else is fair game.

Fine. But everyone better have Lv. 100s, I can't earn enough Rare Candies to share with everyone, nor am I finding ransoms to do a Tourney with.

I don't personally like Flat Rule, so I will not be a rule in this tournament. IT will give people more freedom to construct their teams accordingly. My team wouldn't function correctly if it was just 3 pokemon, and that would make the tournament feel short, and that would be lame. so I will repeat it again, NO FLAT RULE.

Getting a DW Blaziken is hard.Owning Pokémon Emerald and getting a normal Blaziken is awesomely okay and easy!!!!!

Look, if you're using Smogon vampires, you should do Flat Battle. Single Battles aree fine 3 vs 3, and no one uses more than one of each item unless they're insane. If not, then clarify that everyone must be Lv. 100, since that's where my main team is.

Stealth Rock is a one hit kill to a shedinja XD Or even if there's a sandstorm it'll kill it. That's why it's not banned, it's pretty easy to beat without attacking moves

Well then. The restrictions destroyed half of my team. But I suppose I'll give it a try even though I'll get massacred in the first round.

But it's not, otherwise all DW Pokémon could be considered "hacks" for having occasionally better abiilities. Everyone gets to use the overrated Judgement of Arceus as early as 1st gym. oFTo

So a flat battle with olpokemon which are the only ones that aren't what you can call officially hacked. I swear getting Arceus' before the second city can be called hacking so yeah. You should fix the styling so people can rea the comments.

Please do Flat Battle rules, it simplifies things.

Also, Heatran should be banned if Blazkien is. I don't use either, but really, seems a little unfair.

Also this comment box amuses me. I'm only continuing with typing things because the green looks awesome. So awesome. It's amazingly wonderfully perfect. It's like so great. Ew but not on the white part of the ball. Ew. Ugh. Anyways.

I love my Excadrill as well. He's a beast of a pokemon, especially with a sandstorm team, it wrecks the opponents team. He's banned because of his ability "Sand Rush" Which doubles it's speed in a sandstorm, and having a high base attack, will basically one shot any pokemon that is super effective or normal effective

Blaziken is banned due to his new Dream World "Speed Boost" which gives him 1 speed level up at the end of every turn, and this in turn makes him one of the fastest pokemon in the game, and his Base Attack and Special Attack are crazy high as well, so it makes it an overpowered pokemon
