I come home and take a seat to watch television. However, there is a flu about. Not a virus but a television genre; Reality TV.

Nothing on it is real. Adding celebrities doesn't make it more real either. So why they call it Reality TV is beyond me. What grinds my gears is the fact that it really sucks. Yet, people are actively involved in it. All it is really is a scam for our telephone money. It's stupid.

Adding celebrities is the most stupid idea ever. Nobody has heard of them (although I don't know many anyway) and let's face it, they still suck. You could attach celebrities to anything and people would watch it. It's pure tripe. Unfortunately, this engrosses people further into these already filthy shows. It's the equivalent of adding flavorings to a dead slug. That's right, Reality TV does indeed have similarities to slugs.

What's possibly more annoying is viewer involvement. Nobody cares who leaves on Friday! Only about 500 actually care and let's face it, they are wasting money on a trivial programme. What's worse still is that people are voting for people who almost create their own persona. You aren't actually voting for that gentleman who cleans every day; you're voting for some idiot who spends his life drinking.

Finally, they go on for too long. It takes half of a year for 500 people to decide which 14 people are going. It's not rocket science! Plus, would 15 people really get along nicely while keeping in character? No. I thought not. Plus, Reality TV hogs time for the good shows like "Garden Designs" and "Golf Tutor" which are the best shows on telly!

And that's why Reality TV isn't and never will be.
