No... No, no, no...
This can't be happening! It's not real... What isn't real? Her body was glowing, elegant, different... Wait, my window was open? I remembered looking outside, but it was still the eerie street I had known.
I grabbed the courage from within me, and decided to look out from the safe, soft forcefield of covers again.
And there she was. Her feet rubbing against the carpet of my room, like it was the most interesting thing in the world. She raises her gaze from the carpet, her skin fighting the darkness that had seemed to engulf her body, but had stayed away for its own safety. She looked at me straight in the face, and I looked at her. Her eyes... Wide. And white. Like they were waiting to be poured out.
She looked so pure, innocent. But this wasn't the case, and I was sure of it. Looks are decieving.
"..What are you?" I was quivering, and I knew she could see it. But after hearing my voice, she jumped back, still on my bed. Even then, her soul was quiet, and her eyes still on me.
"What... Are you?"
Her voice almost carried me away. She was inching closer, and her hands were moved by her curiousity.
I couldn't budge. I felt paralyzed! What the hell was she doing?! What am I going to do?! Scream? Run? Hide?
I just sat there. Waiting for my ultimate demise.
Her hands reached my face, curved around my plump cheeks, and followed the jawline. As she came closer, the darkness shriveled away. All the while staring into my brown eyes, while I stared into hers.
My mind had finally processed what happened, and it was my turn to jump back.
