It's your silly, winsome antics
That turn my blues into pinks.
And you cause an eruption of butterflies
With your sly, playful winks.
Your bright smiles are contagious,
They're like the sun on a summer day.
And your laugh like a soft, mellow song;
Perfect in every way.
You ask such ponderous questions;
I wonder where on earth you get them.
But then I conclude, since you're an angel,
You must of heard them up in heaven.
The sound of your step is familiar,
It announces of many things;
When I hear it, my heart thrills to the sound,
Because I know what it will bring.
And that tall, shaped, dark silhouette
That looms when you stand in the door
Pricks me with a tinge of intimidation,
Although I'm not certain what for.
A sight to behold, one to adore,
The apple of my eye.
You're breathtaking, life changing;
More than mere words can describe.
