Salutations! Bob here. I know most of you think that most of humankind are selfish greedy people, and some of you are ashamed to be human. Anyways, I've found some articles online that may help you restore your faith in humanity. I will cite each article with the URL of the page.
So the beginning part of this story shows you how cruel people can be. A homeless man in Dublin owned only two things, his clothes and his pet rabbit, whom he loved very much. So a random passerby who felt like being a.. well, this is a children's website, nevermind. Anyways, he grabs the rabbit from the homeless man's arms and throws it off a bridge. The homeless man immediately jumps OFF THE BRIDGE to save his only friend. He didn't hesitate to give mouth to mouth to the rabbit and both the homeless man and his rabbit lived. The passerby, Gary Kearney, was arrested for cruelty to animals and the homeless man, John Bryne, was given a job and an award.
It all begins with a homeless man. He was addicted to crack, but had no money to buy any. In a horrible mistake, he shoots a police officer in a botched bank robbery. He accepted his actions and knew he deserved the death sentence. As you may or may not know, the day before the prisoner's death, he is allowed a last meal of his choice. Instead of asking for food for himself, he requested a pizza pie be delivered to a homeless man somewhere, to which the guards responded, "This is a prison, not a charity." Philip Workman was executed hours later. The word got out that Workman's last wish was declined, so local charities and people bought hundreds of pizza pies and delivered them to homeless people. One lady and her friends bought $1,200 worth of pizza to donate to homeless shelters.
Remember the Fukushima power plant disaster? Yeah, normal people probably don't want to go there to clean up radiation, even with Hazmat suits. So old people are going to do it for them.
What?
Yasuteru Yamada says that he doesn't have long to live, and he'll die before cancer can develop. He has volunteered to help clean up the radiation there and anyone can feel free to join. He says it's time for his generation to stand up and help. He has arranged for him and his team of old people to help out their country. Kinda sounds like the plot to RED, right?
Every day, before going to work, Julio Diaz went to his favorite diner. He knew everyone there, even the dishwashers. After exiting the train, he was promptly greeted by a teenager with a knife. So he did what any normal person would do. He gave the guy his wallet and invited him to breakfast. The teenager hesitantly accepted. After seeing that Diaz knew almost everyone at the diner, greeting them all happily, he began to realize what being friendly can do. The teenager paid for the meal (with Julio's money) and handed over his wallet and knife. Julio gave him 100 Dollars and left.
Bai Faingli. He was a pedicab driver, drove carriages around on a bicycle. One day, he saw a few students working in a field and asked why they weren't in school. They said they had no money. So from that day on, he donated every last penny of his pay to fund student's educations. At the end of his life, he had donated over 5700 USD. You don't have to be rich to donate, guys. He used his last 80 dollars and gave it to the school's principal. He died a few years later.
