In the land of Ooo, There are many topographical features. Grasslands, The Fire Kingdom, the Ice kingdom, The Death Desert, and of course, The Candy Kingdom. Finn the Human and Jake the Dog are adoptive brothers who live in a treehouse in the Grasslands. They reside as well-known heroes-for-hire. One day Finn received a Phone call from the princess of the Candy Kingdom, Princess Bubblegum.


“Finn, come to the Candy Kingdom! At once!”
Finn was confused at first, but he knew that the princess usually doesn’t freak out about nothing. He put on his usual gear and called for Jake.


“Hey Jake! We got a call! We got to go the CK!” Finn and Jake were running to the kingdom, when a bright flash of ice struck Finn. The Ice King revealed himself, holding the Princess.


“You’ll never get her back this time, Finn!” The Ice King Exclaimed.


“Simon! Give her back!” Finn shouted back.


“Don’t make me use my Mace Hand!” Jake added.


“You want her? Come and get her!” Simon said sinisterly.
Ice King quickly froze the two in a block of ice. Some time passed, the block finally melted.


“Whoa, Jake how long were we out?” Finn questioned.


“Not too long, dude. Maybe a couple of hours.” Jake responded. They walked out of the Candy Kingdom and entered the Ice Kingdom. Finn Rode Jake all the way to Ice King’s tower. That’s when it happened. A blood-curtailing scream came from out of the tower.


“JAKESUIT NOW!” Finn Belted. Finn jumped into Jake’s mouth and Jake formed into buff-armor for Finn. Finn kicked down the door to find a disturbing scene. The ice king holding an Ice-dagger Covered in Sugar blood over a lifeless Bubblegum. Finn, blinded by the adrenaline gained by the Jakesuit, grabbed the ice dagger and pushed it effortlessly into the heart of the ice king. He got out of jakes mouth and darted to Princess Bubblegum, while Jake proceeded to kick the Ice king’s lifeless corpse. Finn clasped the body of the princess, giving her comfort for her last minutes in the world.


“Princess, what happened?” Finn Asked.


“*cough* He was trying to Impress me with some magic, being
captured and all, but knowing the ice king, he mistook a snow spell for an Ice dagger.” Bubblegum said.


“We can help you! I’ll get Jake to take you to the nearest Doctor!”


“Finn, I love you, but there is no medicine or Surgery that will help now.” Bubblegum stated accepting her fate.


“Princess, I’m sorry. It’s all my fault.”


“No, Finn. It’s not.’” Bubblegum said.


“Finn I wish I could spend some more time with you, See you grow up. But my plans were cut short. When I do pass, bring my body to the kingdom, and ask Peppermint Butler about ‘Project PF’.”


“Princess. I love you.” Finn tearfully stated.

“Finn, I’m sorry.”


Finn saw the life leave her eyes. He tried to swallow the sadness, but he couldn’t. His tears swelled up inside him, he took refuge inside Jake’s ear until they arrived to the Candy Kingdom.


“Jake, go ring the alarm.” Finn said monotonously. Finn carried the Princess into the main throne room. Held her body up, kneeled down, and cried. The castle guards seized the body from Finn and took it downstairs. Finn got back in control of his emotions, and went to speak to Peppermint Butler. Finn looked around the second floor of the castle for the Butler. He heard a loud sucking sound coming from the third floor, so he raced up the stairs to see Peppermint Butler exit a red portal with a grim look on his face.


“What in the hell?” Finn asked himself. Peppermint knelt down as the portal closed, and said:


“It’s okay Finn, come here.” Pbut gestured to Finn to come closer.


“As you may know already, I’ve close ties with Death and the King of Mars, so I thought it would be easy to retrieve her mortal soul. But not even I had enough ‘Clearance’ if you will, to retrieve it. I think it’s because that since there are different Dead Worlds for different types of souls, Royal souls, however, are completely different. Only God himself can agree to let them unto this world again.”
Pbut Got back up and started to walk towards Finn. Finn stood as still as a statue. The air in the Bright yellow room grew quite stagnate for a couple of minutes. Finn started to talk:


“Pbut, we’ll never get her back. And it’s ok. Working your whole life on bringing her back isn’t going to do nothing but upset you even more when you fail to do so. It’s keeping her memory going on that matters. Let our memories flow throughout the World and touch everyone who knew her. Of course it’s okay to grieve the loss of the one you love, bur all the time? No, once you get the thought inside your head that people die every day, and you will eventually see them one day you’ll feel hopefully a whole lot better. I accept death as an inevitability, that’s what makes life so good, you’re alive and making memories of the people you love and hate. No one can take that from you…. Look what I’m trying to say is that we need to move on.” The room filled with silence once again. Some time passed before Finn started to recall what the Princess told him.


“Some of the last words she spoke were about this ‘Project PF’.” Finn stated. Pbut shuffled back in shock.


“She’s really going with that plan? Well, I’m not going to question it. Come with me Finn.” Pbut led Finn to a room on the 5th floor.


“Finn sit here, I’ll go get what you need.” Pbut left the room and came back with a video tape. He put the video inside the video player. The video flickered into the Princess man-handling a camera.


“Is it on? Oh, Okay. Finn, if you’re watching this, it means I’ve passed onto a new life. I’ve entrusted Peppermint butler with the plans to make you the new prince of the Candy Kingdom. Finn, I need you to be strong for me. I didn’t want to put this option into play, but I had no choice. I’m sorry to put you in this situation. Pbut will help you get started. Well, I guess this is goodbye. Forever.” The princess then faded out of existence. Again. Finn thought he had control over his emotions towards her, but seeing her alive again made him snap. He ran out of the room to find his dog Jake.


“Jake.”


“Oh, Hey dude. You still broken up?” Jake morphed himself to about Finn’s height and hugged him.


“It’s alright. I’m here for you. What happened?”


“Jake, I need you to help me move all of my things from the Treefort to here.”


“Why? What’s happening?”


“Change. If you don’t want to stay here, you can go to Lady Rainacorn’s House and liv-“


“No. I’m here for you. Forever. That’s what friends are
for!”


“I’m glad to hear that buddy.”
