The second mixtape produced by Dim Tim. The first album introduced the whole to the Dim Tim persona. This long play showcases Dim Tim to the fullest. Download the mixtape on datpiff for free http://web3.datpiff.com/Dim-Tim-The-Dim-Tim-Lp-mixtape.648092.html
The beginning of the album starts with "Come Out Dim". This song shows how Dim Tim's fans forced him to make more music. The song is a short intro and technically not a real song. The whole concept also introduces the idea of the Fun House. The Fun House is where Dim Tim records his music. The second track is called "Welcome to the Fun House". The hook samples House of Fun by Madness. The song is a tour of Dim's house and shows people how he makes the music. This is a good introduction to the album.
"Who Am I" is based off of Eminem's song "My Name is". This song uses Eminem's instrumental. The song circles around who Dim is. It is distinctly different from the music on Welcome to the Dim Side. The Welcome to the Dim Side was a transition to let people ease into this album. The wordplay is tight and the flow is more crisp. The relationship is explained as a ghost and a person who possessed. The next song ventures deeper into the complex of Dim Tim. It was called "Character Madness". On this track, Dim impersonates four other characters. The characters are Stan, Eminem, Tupac, and Ken Kaniff. The song starts with Dim then Stan and Tupac. The song ends with a short outro by Ken Kaniff. The hook is performed by each person who has a verse in the song. This is the inside of the crazy mind of Dim Tim.
"Another Day" is a song that started out as a collaboration with physics tricks who Dim shouts out in the first song. Tim rewrote Physics Tricks' verses and made his own. The song is about not putting off what you have to do. It is a solid idea and challenges people to be more productive. "The Mask" is a song based on the Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask. Dim relates himself to the story of the Skull Kid. The story goes that the skull kid loses his friends, but he receives Majora's Mask that gives him the power to seek revenge on his friends. Tim references the franchise throughout the whole song. Tim asks people if they understand why he wears the mask. Tim gives a couple reasons, but he did not have one definitive answer.
The two next songs are called "Bad Mood" and "Blowing Smoke". Both of these songs share similar themes and showcase the anger of Dim Tim. "Bad Mood" is about a bad day that Dim Tim had. "Blowing Smoke" is a song about Tim going off about these he hates. He also is not lying in his song. "The Birth of Dim Tim" is a song about Dim coming into the world. Dim Tim explains that is a curse on the earth.
"Out of Reality"is a song about the public's opinion on people like Dim. The song is for people who feel like an outcast. The song goes against the social normal. Dim does not like how people treat each other, so he lives outside of reality. Defensive is a track that is a preemptive strike on rappers who diss him. Dim puts up his walls. "Open Fire" is a diss track against Abnormal Era. Abnormal Era is a group of hip-hop artists that Dim does not really like. This song is a teaser for a feud. Tim wants to attack other people.
"Big Brother" throws another diss at Abnormal Era on this track to introduce the 1984 theme. This song is a based on George Orwell's book 1984. Dim Tim basically makes himself as Big Brother. The next song was "Out of Love", which was a song that Dim basically says no more love songs. The song is basically showing Dim's take on "My Obsession".
The album ends with two more tracks that I will not explain. The bonus track is a rap battle I had on the bus. The challenger's verse is not on the track. Basically, the other person choked like B-Rabbit in the first scene of 8 Mile.
My whole goal for this album is for it to have as much downloads as the Welcome to the Dim Side Mixtape, because I feel this project is better than the last. Please if you can, download this album and share it with other people. Tweet it, post is on Facebook, or whatever. It would mean a lot to me. Thanks for reading!
