The rest of that day and the beginning of the next were uneventful, except for the usual friendly feuds between team mates. Arthur said to give her one more day to recover. That pissed her off a good bit, but she was at least allowed to sleep in her own dorm. When the other 8 mercs left for the day, she was left alone again. She climbed up on the roof, it had become a favorite place for her, and looked out over the horizon."We can reset over and over, fellow Creators... The sad thing is that it won't make a difference. We just find ways around it... Always. It's inevitable. So have fun trying to defeat this one. It will be quite the challenge."A small clunk was heard beside her. She looked over there and found a small bundle of cloth. She picked it up and unwrapped it. It was a shard of glass. Glass from a mirror. What use was this? Neo brought her arm back and was about to throw it away when it hummed a bit. Glass hums?
She brought her arm back down and looked at the glass. It didn't reflect her anymore. It showed scenes from earlier on... Memories. The ones she forgot.
Now she remembered everything.
The adventures, the chaos, the troubles.
Everything.
She wrapped the shard back up. She knew what it was. It was a shard from the Mirror of Past. She thought it was broken and unusable... Apparently not. Who had brought it though? That she would never know... She did suspect her Creator though.
She went back down to her room, stowing the shard away for later use. She wanted the others to remember as well...Tapping on the glass of the BLU base. Felix looks up from where he was sitting on the couch, reading a book. It was late... The day had ended several hours ago. He was up late, as usual. The tapping paused, then continued. He muttered something in French and walked over to the door, pulling his knife out slowly. He reached for the handle and turned it carefully.
He yanked open the door, knife raised and pointed at the face of... Neo? "What are you doing here?" he said quietly, relaxing slightly. She had a small bundle clutched in her hand.
She steps forward. "You know that gap in our memories? I fixed it."
He dropped his knife arm. "What?"
She held up what she had in the bundle. It was a shard of glass. "This."
He stared at it. "... How does a mirror shard help us?"
She faltered, then pulled it back and stared at it. "This worked before... Why isn't it working?"
"What's wrong? Don't tell me you've gone crazy."
"I'M NOT CRAZY!" she yells, before clenching her fist around the shard. drawing blood before throwing it on the ground, and running away. The shard was now in irreparable pieces. The BLU watched her go. Something wasn't right.(and to compensate for the last chapter being really long this one is really short xD)
