She lay limp in the bed and looked to be cradling a book, which was opened with poisonous ivy coming from inside, in-front of her. The book was a normal, bleak black, hard back book with hundreds if not thousands of thin pieces of paper. The ivy seemed to grow out from the centre of the book. Was it hidden inside or had it grown in the book?
Her mom walked in to say goodnight to the young teen to find the book in front of the girl. At first, she made nothing of it and went to take it off her. She went to move her hand just to find it was freezing cold and had no strength to it. Her mom shook her child to try and wake her up but there was no response. She cried out for help before collapsing to the floor to the floor, which was quickly getting wetter and wetter from the streams that poured from her smooth, silky face.

She grabbed the nearest cloth she could to protect her hands from the ivy, slammed the book closed and pulled it away from her baby girl. She read the front and instead of the original title “Never Read†it read “You were warned!†but instead it was blood not the white chalk it once was.
Clearly the girl’s curiosity got the best of her as her mom had warned her repeatedly about the book.
Her mom through the book at the wall in anger and the book exploded into a pool of blood over the freshly painted, pink walls. She turned to her daughter to find that she had started to shrivel up and that there was no blood left inside her. Was all the blood on the wall hers?
Her mother, wearing bright pink pyjamas and red nail vanish could be heard screaming a mile away. She pulled quickly up from the pool of sweat she had created on the bed. Was this all a dream? She ran to her daughter’s room to find her about to open the book which she had been warned about. She wasn’t in time. It was too late…
