Dude, these chapter titles are seriously getting worse and worse. Yeah, I could just rename them, but I want to keep this as legit as I possibly can.

"Can we please take a break?" Zeke pleaded. We had been flying for a couple of hours and still found nothing. Maybe because we flew over a desert.
I shook my head. "No way! There has to be some animals, somewhere!" He rolled his eyes and started soaring downwards into another forest, me following close behind. Zeke landed and tripped over a rock, while I fluttered to the ground, holding back laughter.
"That wasn't funny," Zeke growled at me and stood up. I raised an eyebrow.
"You have poor judgement," I said. "Come on, lets search for food."

Sometime later, we had actually found a deer. We were roasting it over a fire, talking and laughing. It had gotten dark outside.
"This is one of the best meals ever!" I explained, tearing off a piece of deer with my teeth. Zeke nodded, shoving the food in his mouth.
"I think we should shave some for Glaine and Scruff," Zeke said through a mouthful of food. I nodded and glared at him playfully.
"Don't talk with your mouth full," I scolded while smiling.
"But mommy, I had to!" he whined in a four year old voice. I giggled as he shoved more food into his mouth and imitated me with fake mockery. I rolled my eyes and gave him a hard punch. His face twisted in pain and he swallowed his food.
"Ow! That hurt!" He said, rubbing his arm. I grimaced and said, "You'll be fine. I think we should probably sleep. I'm tired." He grinned at me, the blazing fire illuminating his features. My heart skipped a little beat, but Ignored it. I felt my face heat up, and it wasn't from the fire.
"Okay, we might as well. We don't wanna keep Glaine and Scruff waiting," He said reluctantly. I lied down and shut my eyes, and I heard Zeke lay down beside me, a little bit close. My face heated up again, but I still Ignored it. After a few minutes, I felt Zeke poke me. I rolled to the other side so I was facing him and opened one eye.
"What?" I asked, "I'm trying to sleep." He just shrugged.
"Just wanted to say good night... So goodnight!" He grinned at me and turned over. For some dumb reason my heart sped up.
"Uh... Good night," I said in a small voice. Why was I acting like this? Was something happening...? To me? Oh, just shut up and get some rest. I told myself. So I closed my eyes again and drifted into a peaceful sleep.

I woke up to the smell of smoke. Where in the world did this smoke come from? I opened my eyes and saw a cloud of smoke above me. I sat up and looked around. Then it hit me: We had forgotten to put out the fire last night. An alarm went off in my head. How could I have been so stupid? Now the forest was on fire, all because of me. I looked to my left and saw Zeke snoring away.
I shook him. "Zeke, get up! Now! We have an emergency!" I shouted at him. He sat up and blinked groggily, looking at my stressed out face.
"Whas' happenin'?" He asked tiredly. I mentally facepalmed myself and slapped him. "Hey, what was that for?" He whined. Then his eyes widened.
"The forest is on fire! We have to get out of here!" He yelled, coughing. I coughed a little myself.
"Yeah, no kidding! Now get low!" I yelled back at him, as I crawled on the floor he gave me a weird look.
"Uh... Can't we just fly?" He asked, and flinched a little. He was probably waiting for me to punch him or slap him. I gave a little snort. Stupid me. I forgot we had wings.
"Uh... Yeah," I stood up and leaped into the air, flapping my wings frantically. Zeke was right behind me. As soon as we were out of the cloud of smoke, I looked at the disaster we had created. Trees were on fire everywhere... It was terrible. Zeke gave me a reassuring smile as if to say 'it's okay' I nodded, and we continued soaring through the sky.
