For those who are interested in participating in the Pokémon Tournament scheduled to begin on June 6th (this blog contains additional information on the tournament, BTW), I decided to make a blog, so that y'all can become better prepared for it.

First of all, the tournament will be conducted on Pokémon Showdown, which is an online Pokémon battle simulator (that won't work in some web browsers, such as my own 2DS's one), and will be using these rules.
(I had to read this blog that a friend of mine made for me, since my 2DS can't load that webpage, BTW.)

Now, here's an example of how you enter your Pokémon into Pokémon Showdown:

Pikachu @ Light Ball
Ability: Lightningrod
EVs: 6 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
-Thunderbolt
-Grass Knot
-Nasty Plot
-Protect

According to a friend of mine, you can simply copy and paste that into Pokémon Showdown, and you'll be able to use a Level 100 Pikachu holding a Light Ball, with a Timid Nature, maxed out Sp. Attack and Speed (with a tiny bit of training in it's HP stat, too), the lowest possible Attack stat that it could have, that knows all of those moves listed above, and that also has the Ability Lightningrod, as well.
(The Dragonite in this blog is another example of something like this, BTW.)

Basically, Pokémon Showdown allows you to battle with any Pokémon that you could possibly legitimately acquire in-game (or from Pokémon events), just by entering it into it, and since it's just on a website, you don't have to own any actual Pokémon games or anything (or pay them any money, for that matter) to use it!
(You do need a device that can run it in it's Internet browser, though, which I unfortunately don't have.)

(Pretty much the Competitive Pokémon website, with a TON of useful information on it, although I myself can't load a lot of it in my browser.)

Serebii's Online Stat Calculator
(Good for calculating the stats that Pokémon will have with different Natures and EVs and stuff.)

Calculating the Stats of Pokémon
(Basically just tells you how to figure out how to do the same stuff as the calculator above with a regular calculator.)
