NO.

When teaching Pokemon moves, make sure to check their stats.
This is wonderful with certain pokemon, if their stats focus on Attack, and if they are a Fighting type, this could easily be used with most Fighting type moves.

NEVER teach Gyarados any water moves other then Aqua Tail. It NEVER works out, since Gyarados is a Physical attacker.
