The old ones, by faaaaaar![u]
The only new games I like (considering 'new' is from D/P - B/W) are Pearl & HeartGold. Pearl because they Pokemon were unique, it first brought Pokerus & Ev Training to us & it was just completely, unexpected. However B/W to me, had great graphics but lacked in the addiction. The Pokemon are most edits of older forms (more specificly D/P) The only Pokemon from B/W I like are Oshawott & Minchino. Besides the names have just become serverly uncreative. I mean Gear? Tepig? C'mon! And the newer games only take [u]1 - 7 days to complete!
As for the old games, they had it all!
The unbeatable music, the creative names, the epic, unused storyline, the looks & the addiction (even if you completed it countless times!)
So who wins?
New games OLD ONES!

People say DisneyLand's the best place in the world, they've clearly never been in your arms (B
@Nero: Moron... EV-Training has been around since Gen I, and PokeRus in Gen II. -.-
Also, older players find the new games easier because they're USED to the formula. Newer players take a bit longer, so it might seem unbalanced.
And what do you mean "most edits of older fprms[mre specifically D/P]"? If you mean the sprites for the OLDER Pokemon, do you expect them to redraw them every time? NO. And none of the newer Pokemon are related in any way to the old ones. Shall I continue pointing things out with your statement? I think I shall. The names have never been 100% perfect. The addiction is still with the new games, and the new ones brought better connectivity meaning more chance at completing that goddamn Pokedex.
Again, I repeat, moron. -.-
I personally like Gen II the most, specifically Crystal Version.
Whoa bro, better slow down bro, don't wanna be a bro, bro.
@Kion: MUTINY. >:U
Yes, I have 224 on my Crystal PokèDex, I still need Ninetails, Tyranitar, Dragonite, and... A few others, I have the old Starters in their Stage 1 forms, and the old Fossils. o3o
Whoa bro, better slow down bro, don't wanna be a bro, bro.
In any logical argument, the newer games win hands down, no chance. More features, better music, more Pokemon. When one accounts for the nostalgia effect, I still believe the newer games would win because--to me-- the effect of nostalgia, while powerful, does not overpower the betterness (I know it isn't a word) of the newer games.
As for my favorites, I'd have to say it's a tie between Black, Emerald, Crystal. :)
It's my job to help the next generation, and set a good example for them. And for that I'll gladly lay down my life.
@Skittles: Well, when it comes to Pokemon, where we fight with magical creatures, and train carps to turn into flying fish, I don't think logic exists anymore. :P
But true, the technological advances outshine previous ones... but sometimes, it's annoying when they leave out certain features that were excellent in past Gens, and could've come back in newer Gens...
Whoa bro, better slow down bro, don't wanna be a bro, bro.
