It's natural and it's not really dangerous like crack and cocaine.
I remember watching cops and this guy was arrested in his home for smoking and selling weed. He denied he was selling it but he also kept saying to the cops how weed is natural and it came from god. The cops were ignoring him but I agree with him. Weed should be LEGAL!
If they sold weed then the u.s. would make tax money to go twords health care for us. It would help stop drug dealers and crime. I don't like pot myself but cops should spend more time putting a stop to real bad guys not just some guy smoking pot in his own home. My main problem with weed being legal is it would be easyer for kids to get it.
As a libertarian-leaning individual, I believe the Federal government has no right regulating such matters. According to the 10th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, the states are the ones who regulate vices (also defined by government as tobacco, alcohol, and gambling), healthcare, "social" programs, and many other issues not specifically listed in the body of the U.S. Constitution as responsibilities of Congress. Thus, If a state chooses to keep drugs illegal, that is the right. If a state turn drugs into taxable vices, that is also a right.
i think it should itz a top growing crop and whould help the goverment 2 if there was a 3¢ tax on it it whould rase alot of money2go2 stuff this contry needz
Should I care? I would guess not. Matters like this are of no concern to me, however, our "nanny" government does care. People who take drugs (natural or not) will be affected and state money will be paid to treat them. Some people live on benefits and use that money for drugs, so the tax payer is indirectly paying for someone to kill themselves.
Any money made through taxes will be cancelled out by treating people who take drugs so in reality there are no profits through this, except for the drug dealers.
Finally, we come to the aspect of innocent people being caught up in this. If weed etc. was made legal, many more people would use it and just like alcohol, there would more fights, so crime would increase.
Drugs are banned for a reason: to protect and help us

turtle, here is a summary of the US healthcare system:
We have a partially private and partially public healthcare system. The majority of it is private with individuals and/or employers paying into insurance companies. These companies may cover a co-pay for medicine or doctor visits. Once a deductible is reached, insurers pay 100%. Some plans qualify the patient for pre-tax deposits into some kind of health savings account, helping to save some money. The health insurance industry gets about a 2.5%-3.0% profit annually, one of the lowest profit margins of any industry.
The public portion of healthcare comes in two forms. One is called MediCare. All employees pay a mandatory tax with employers matching. I believe the cut-off for this taxation is $150,000 income. Benefits from MediCare do not begin until the individual becomes a senior citizen. Even then, this government program is on the verge of bankruptcy, so cutbacks cause many individuals to supplement coverage with a private insurance carriers. MediCaid is meant for the impoverished. Both the states and Federal government provide complete funds to this program, which is also on the verge of bankruptcy.
Hospitals are required to provide care to anyone who needs it. For any portion of medical bills that are covered by the patient, healthcare providers will set up payment plans, interest free. Generally about 2% of all medical care remains unpaid, so it is written off as a business loss.
In reply to I Blaze Purp, no I am not ignorant, just because you are a druggy and don't have certian effects it doesn't mean all people are like that. So do your research.
Also, your tone in the post does sound quite violent and angry xD
