When you listen to a song, do you listen for the lyrics, or the music?

I usually listen to both, but sometimes I listen to the lyrics more than music, depends on the music

both because without lyrics I find it dull for example, pendulum- salt in the wounds is a particularly disliked song of mine. However, lyrics without music is just poetry and poetry is of little interest to me.

Back and well Im just back...

I'm really not sure. I must listen for lyrics cause I remember the words after listening to a song a few times. But I think I listen to music also, anu tjing can have lyrics but if not used correctly..their just words witth a story. When you make those words into music..in away for me..it makes emotion.

Everyone deserves to be treated kindly, respectfully, and equal. Not cause you want something, but because it is the right thing

Teh only songs I listen to are both versions of Sanctuary and both versions of Simple and Clean and I listen to both.

Always both. Plus, you have to factor in the singing. You can have the greatest tune with the cleverest lyrics, but it kills it when the wrong person sings it.

That's a good question. I can never really pick between the two.

But one thing I do judge them on is the theme or genre of the song. It may sound confusing, but get this. What would a yodeling song sound like if someone added auto-tune, or was yodeling to a heavy metal beat? Nope. Not good at all. Basically, if the beat sounds good but the lyrics throw me off of it, then I can't listen to it. If they both are good, then I'll definetly listen. And if they follow a theme, such as a smooth rhythm with a smooth lyrical hymn to run with the beat, then it's music to me.

But what am I to judge. Everyone has a different taste in music. Some people do listen to gospel songs in the form of screamo. It's true.

I wanna advance ahead of the game, but I'm stuck patrolling this darn platform!!!
