I'm a sad person because I think a rabbit scared of brooms is a stupid news story? So? I'm scared of balloons, that's not child abuse. My dog is scared of brooms too and we never "abused him" with them. He's also afraid of buzzing insects, when furniture moves when he's near/under it, driving in the car, etc. My cat gets freaked out when you moo like a cow. Sure, REAL animal abuse is bad. You kids over react about everything these days, it's ridiculous. And to answer your question, I wouldn't give a crap if somebody came near me with a broom.

We keep a broom by the door to keep our cats from running outside. We don't hit them or poke/maim them, they just see it and don't run outside. :D

Neon's certainly right about people overreacting these days. Animals are typically scared of unknown things and things that are bigger than them, just as humans are. It's part of current life.

Animal abuse in my opinion would be when you're physically abusing or torturing a animal. Doing something like scaring a pet is fine aslong as you ain't consistently doing it.

Never said I did scare my pets. I just believe if doing it once or twice ain't physically harming it, it ain't that bad specially if you never do it again after that. And I do get tricked and scared, but I don't nessersarly hate it as I find amusement in it as along with my friends who scare me for fun.

Btw don't compare insects to animal abuse as i've killed many and same as for all the exterminators and other people.

Yes, but these insects were un-needed ones in my home. Also i'm sure you have killed insects too.
I stated in my first post “Animal abuse in my opinion would be when you're physically abuseing or tortureing a animal.” Now as you state a dog getting kicked in the face, that is physically harming from the start. You mis-interperted what I meant by scaring, I don't mean scaring by hurting a animal is ok. Now if you just mess with it once or twice like ShaDowTech did then that is ok to the extent as I said if you don't consistently do it.
