Um... Fair saying, you can't judge the ps3 till you played Littlebigplanet or Uncharted...
You can't judge the xbox 360 till you played Halo or Gears of War.
You can't judge the wii till you played Super Smash Brothers Brawl and Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess.

i've kinda played all those games, i only played the survival mode for GoW2, and thay're all good games. I don't understand the ps3 hate, I don't see any problems with it. I liked the xbox360, but the switch to ps3 was welcome and felt right. I don't hate the xbox i just prefer ps3, online multiplayer is free (certain games have one time fees), the online isn't worse than xbox it's equal (people who say otherwise probably haven't played online with a ps3).

Raser, it all coomes down to opinion, like many things.

For example, I like a good soundtrack in a game. The Wii, GameCube and DSi[I say DSi because of my DSiWare games], they all have quality games that provide that.

Story, another thing that Nintendo controls masterfully. Pretty much every Nintendo 1st Party game that I've played has had an engrossing storyline, and fleshed-out characters. CoD, "Okay boys, we're set in WWII again, because we can't think of a different war for once, or anything new for the series other than maps and a new Pistol."

Graphics, I suppose that's the PS3's only 'golden' attribute. But honestly, I don't want 'realistic' graphics. I play games to enjoy a nice mental 'vacation' from life. That's why Nintendo's cartoony[looking at you, Wind Waker,] graphics appeal to me.

If your looking for some Cartoony fun... Um... I think Littlebigplanet would be a match for you... Or Ratchet and Clank. Either way, both of those games gave me a good time. :) And I enjoyed playing them. ;)

Alpha, maybe. I've heard LBP is one of the 'original' series for PS3[PS2?], and actually good and new. However, my only current console is my DSi, with GameCube, GBC, Sega Genesis and NES following.

Definitely Original. No ps2 though, both LBP and LBP2 are ps3 exclusives. Good, as is create what you want, and new, as in Levels uploaded by the thousands DAILY, and with the ... 3 billion? Yeah, 3 billion levels from LBP moved to LBP2.

If the Wii U actually breaks more ground than expected, and appeases the "Graphic Nuts", then Microsoft and Sony will either need more than new motion control gimmicks, or to bring new Consoles...

I think Microsoft will outlast Sony in the long-run, though. They haven't enter the tricky footing of the Handheld demographic.

I will give kudos to Sony for one thing- The PS2. It built upon the PS1, but didn't bastardize it like the PS3 did.
