Concentrate on limiting your posts to actual news and things that you've completed. (Consecutive posting isn't recommended and isn't too pretty.)

That said. I tend to judge sites by their appearance without registering, so your site looks very blank. Content should really be shown before registration to give a sample of what the site has to offer.
