Chatroom Admin Colors

The red seems dull.

I suppose it stops users looking down on the new admins.

This was the basic color rule before it changed back to red-only. Like it's been said, there's just simply too much jobs to give a color for each of them. I'm sure everyone can understand than things don't always need to look fruity.

If people have enough jobs, eventually it would just look black or brown after like the 3rd or 4th job, lawl maybe it could go by their most recent job addition

Maybe we could just abolish the colors in all, lawl. Then members won't be so obsessed with talking to only people with colored names

Perhaps we could have a command that reveals chatmins but doesn't show them by default. People will hopefully, interact with them like normal users. If there's rule breaking, then they type in the command and see who's an admin.

The only real reason for wanting a colored name when your not a chatmin is to feel special in some sort of way.
You only need to know who's a chatmin in a chatroom, having multiple colors would just sort of confuse the purpose. I do not believe you need to know who's a saviimin in a chat, and on that note, you wouldn't anyways if it goes back to the original color system. As it was only based on rank/superiority consequently which lead to a competition.
It's fine the way it is and it doesn't need to change just to fulfill someones fetish of having a colored name, no?

Of course, but what's the reason then? Is it because you feel unequal? Then my other idea back on the first page may be of your consideration.

How about there be a box on the homepage under birthdays that shows all the admins and which jobs they have? Easy to access, and it solves the problem so nobody has to ask in a chat.

True,but still going back to the old system would only leave people asking anyways because it doesn't directly tell you it only shows how many jobs they have.

And to add onto my previous post, it would show if they're on or not and of course there name would be a link to there profile.

Hello, friends.

There's no real solution to this colour hullabaloo. Period. Any and every solution will have flaws; the best approach is to choose the one with the fewest.

Chatmin names were originally red obviously in order to distinguish chatmod from non-chatmod. That's common practice. They were changed to their rainbow assortment presumably to distinguish among the various admins, as well as add style to the chats. It became too focused on the latter and graduated to how people (both admins and non-admins) treated different colours and the supposed hierarchy that came with it. So only chatmods became red again, and that's that.

When it comes to almost stupid things like chatroom admin colours, functionality should always beat preference, regardless of "who" it's for.

In addition to the chatroom legend that we follow now, I wouldn't mind the following: 1) an "admins online" list (possibly with drop-downs for each job) on the front page; 2) means of moderator distinction with respect to various areas of the website (where applicable).

Catch my drift.

The colors make people try to act better...but if there were no colors we could find those who break the rules and have the punished, removing the problem all together? Just a thought.

It could easily get colors to turn black or brown or start to look like someone (an example) with 7 jobs, has same color as someone with 9 jobs.

I think we should have a new HEX COLOR!We should make a Paint Membership so whenever a person is seen on any chatrooms their any's are Rainbow or has badges next to their names Gold,Bronze,Silver badges?!
