Random friend requests, ever since a mail system was in place, so again well over two years; it only became non-passive with the friend system updates much later on. Online dating? C'mon, that's been around since DSiCade, and Cade's older than Paint.
Ever since the format for this site began to take a shift from browser homebrew to the user-centric community-based website we know today, it's no surprise that certain features resemble social networking hubs like Facebook. Nor is it surprising to see things like online dating, swearing, bullying, etc on a site with chats and commenting and messaging.
(In the future, do avoid mild swearing like "hell" in thread titles. Comes off as rude.)
