Has Savii Bucks become scarce?

Not too long ago, perhaps a year ago, Savii bucks were cheap, and you could get two for 100 points.

Not too often are Bucks exchanged, and the value is pratically doubled.
I have 2 auctions out for 2 more days, and both bucks are going for 155 points each at the moment.

We need stimulate this economy, and ease the inflation.

My solution? Savii slots, everyone!
It is practically a steal there. I`ve come across 3 Bucks in the past week, and on average, I spent 65 points to acquire each Buck. That`s 90+ points profit for each auction.

Don`t be tempted to waste your money; however, try the slots at your own risk.

Besides saving a bunch of points, the thrill in winning a Buck is amazing.

Opinions would be great. Should everyone pool points into slots, or will these ridiculous prices continue? And do be cautious, the sudden spike might mean an update that reduces your odds in the Slots.

Oh, and have a good Easter, even if you`re not affiliated to the religion. Vacation time, kids!

That`s got to feel awful. Like I said, try at your own risk. I play 50+ rounds in a row, and then refresh the page when I`ve won.

People pay for the Savii Bucks. I find it.. bad that it gets passed around to people who didn't pay, but thats the passers choice.

It could be that since the savi slots, alot more people get bucks so they don't go buy them. Or it could be the oppositie. The reason why you get them so expensive is cuz' more people want them so they bet more.

I haven`t gambled since I first started the thread. I do feel like blowing 500 points soon, then doing frenzied 1 point Buck auctions.

I am guesstimating the probability of winning a Savii Buck at 1/216. This is because, after running an experiment, ( of a savii buck coming up on one slot) I figured out that the relative frequency was roughly 1 in 6 attempts. Since you have to get 3 consecutive savii bucks, 1/6^3 = 1/216.

Awesome work! That is, if assumed each symbol has an equal chance to appear. What if a Buck showed up with a 1/12 chance, twice as rare as the "common" symbols? Ah whatever, I`ll go gamble.

For sake of confabulation, bucks are no longer purchasable by means of direct credit card order, or web hosting. There were only a small handful of users who exercised those options, so that is barely a factor. Gameshows where bucks are rewarded on discretion of the host are very rare. Regularly auctioned bucks from admins are getting few and far between.

The slots game is the main source of bucks, and it produces them decently well, considering the risk involved. The success rates of the three prizes act as a default conversion factor of sorts. Chances of winning 1 buck and winning 40 points are the same, so those values are like raw base equivalents where the true value starts from. The 3 point prize, small a factor though it may be, is still one as it is easier to win, and is used for 3 more tries far more often than points earned through other ways on the site. Points earned the latter way are typically saved up and mass-used on slots, which has no effect on the price of a buck. Now whether the buck wins are used for Savii parts or amassing points in auctions is up to different users' fancies. Both supply and demand for bucks are somewhat constant, yet their trade value generally bounces between 50-150 points. That's perfectly normal for such a relatively miniature-sized "market".

Pooling is rules-wise out of the question. Glitching multiple rolls out would also get one into deep trouble.

All that said, empirical observations based on questionable sample types/scopes/sizes are sketchy at best.

Well, that was disappointing. Almost as if HB mocked me, I spent 300 points, and earned back 100 for nothing. I was about to throw my DSi. I got 2 slots lined up with Bucks over 50 times in 300 attempts. It`s like I wasn`t allowed to win...
