Haha, the Oil is running out. Wait, what?

As most may know, the oil is slowly running out. Sure, it may be in the course of a hundred years, but what about our children? What will they use?
I honestly think that Hydrogen is going to be used as fuel, once we discover how. It's technically unlimited, and easy to find.
What do you guys think we should use, and how?

Here's one: Algae bio-fuel. It's very easy to grow and yields a lot more than most known sources of bio-fuel. Plus, you have the added benefit of not hurting any cash crops.

Bio-fuel isnt made now because weree better off growing food. but think about it, we dont need oil! its a pointless luxury werre,wasting. we dont need cars, and most plastics are wasted. the world would be better without it. frankly, i rather go outside and enjoy watching the clouds than use all the crap made from oil

and hydrogen issnt very easy to use. at a high amountt, instead of burning it would either blow up, or just light instantly and be wasted.

maybe if people recycled plastics woldnt be a problem.

Suburbs and what not where created because the automobile was created. People could live farther from work and make it there the same time it would take to walk if they lifed closer. If people suddenly had to walk everywhere, alot of jobs will be lost (besides all the automobile related jobs) or people would have to move closer to work, which could put a heavy toll on one's financial situation.

I dream of a better tomorrow, where chickens can cross the road and not be questioned about their motives.

the problem with that, is farmers would have to use land for that instead of food which can cause a lot of problemsn.

Plastic cannot be recycled an indefinite amount of times, due to its atomic structure weakening between each recycle.

Oil is made into a huge amount of polymers, such as fuels, plastics, and even fertilisers and medicines. To say that we could just 'do without it' is a somewhat uninformed claim, since a lot of what you own will have been made from oil. All your elctronic gadgets and stuff which are made of plastic will have origins in oil.

While we are trying to come up with efficient alternatives, it isn't just a matter of "Let's just go without."
