The way you worded this was confusing. But I know what you mean. Basically your browser keeps filling in your password on the Settings page, because it thinks you've logged out and need a password re-entered.
Some browsers and their iterations do this using cookies, and cookies can be accessed remotely. Most modern browsers encrypt and store saved details separately, and don't quote me on it, but I believe Firefox is one of them. Far safer than cookies, but doesn't 100% guarantee password security. With personal information such as passwords being submitted online, there will always be some risk. So even though the password-saving features are there, I don't ever recommend them.
Your initial problem, though, if ever amended, would be via a browser update, not any coding here on the website. I also wouldn't plan on replicating it. Again, the only solution I offer is to abandon the saving of passwords. Typing it in on each start-up is a small chore.
On a minor note, the WiiOperaSDK sister site is visually more desktop-friendly.
Well client-side methods work in different ways, but always require the original password. They work with local files, and don't interact with any actual domain. Contrarily, a "remember my password" option on a site is much more straightforward since obviously handling passwords is what websites such as this do.
Yes, the blip is field names; however, simply changing one or making a new one may alter the integrity of the works. Not to mention the undesirability of changing it for the sake of one or multiple PC browsers.
