First shiny? (if you have/have encountered one)

I have a ton of event shinys and the red gyrados from SS/HG, but the only other shiny pokemon I encountered was the evolution of geodude. (forgot his name). I captured him with ease.

And just recently I caught a shiny Ho-oh in my soulsilver <3 I didn`t even soft reset to get it! :O
