I think it is inconsiderate if you do it without the other knowing, but my friend's boyfriend actually allows her to see other people while they're dating.

It's okay if you're a young girl, as you shouldn't be getting serious with anyone. The point of dating at that age is to have fun. However, this is not okay if a signifigant other doesn't know about it. Anywho, when you get older, you'll be using dating to its full purpose, which is to see if you want to marry that person or not. Now generally, you can't get married to multiple people with the exclusion of a few countries. So I think older people should stick to the one-person thing, while young people; go for it.
