Learning programming

Hi. I want to learn a programming/scripting language, but I don't know where to start. I'm good at READING some, but not the actual programming. I can make a paragraph and a heading in html so far, and scratch isn't really actual programming.

html can be programming in a way. like this for an example:

Each time you click this, it will change from bold to normal.

if that shows up properly here. also, i use w3schools too but some people dont like it. i dont really either, but i have no better source for information that doesnt look like crap. it doesnt have everything though.

actually testing that out it stops after 2 times. but you get the idea though.

Tizag is more mobile formated than w3schools. Go to Tizag if your on a DSi, 3DS, cell phone, etc. Also, w3schools has an app on the Play Store (Android app market)

Also, cutie4, Scripting is no more then memorising code and there functionality. Html and css make good starting points.

Css is quiet easy to learn. it makes designing accross several pages easy. But note that it cannot add any content to pages, It just styles it internally or externally.

You are right about W3 not being accurate with PHP. You should use php.net instead since it's the official website.
