Apple vs Samsung lawsuit

So if you have been following up on your tech news for the best few months you would know that Apple has been trying to sue Samsung over quite a few things. It started with the design of both phones and how Samsung phones copied the iPhone's one hardware button. Then it turned into a fight about Samsung stealing their Text Selection aka copy and paste and also Apple claims they stole the idea of auto detection of a mic when plugged into the headphone jack. Now Apple won the lawsuit of text selection and now they are trying to ban all Samsung Galaxy devines including the Galaxy Nexus. This includes the most popular Android phone, The Galaxy s3. Do I think this will happen? Most likely not. Also with iOS 7 coming out you could see Google filing a lawsuit on Apple for coping Android's Quick settings and widgets. Yes I know widgets are completely different but the idea is the same. Tell me what you think is going on. Do you think Samsung copied Apple or is Apple just suing them from something in the past and are just now bring it up. Could be because the Samsung Galaxy line is beating the iPhone 5 in sells. Also what does this mean for Apples stocks? They have been going down from the beginning of this year from about 750 to 450.

It gives them a bigger market share since they could use the legal precedent to sue other companies.

Personally, I think this would give Apple an unfair advantage unless it was a major issue e.g. stealing their logo.

But the thing is that they are suing for this now when they could of sued them when they "stole" it. Plus this wouldn't give them any advantage because a lot of Android users don't like iOS so they won't go to that and there's tons of other Android phones like HTC one, Nexus 4, and more

But this isn't about Android. They aren't suing Google for this but suing Samsung

If they were suing for the features Android has they can't sue Samsung about that since they didn't make Android.

They can. They would be more likely to succeed since they'd use their previous case as a precedent.

Could they actually banish a phone after millions of people purchased it already? I'm quite concerned since I have the phone.

The court should find Samsung "not liable" since these aren't big enough issues. If they don't they can't ban people from using phones. This is only civil law.

They can only ban it from being sold. They can't come to your house and steal it back XD

They most likely are. I think they already kind of are suing them as I heard. But when iOS 7 comes out if it ever does since it is being delayed then except Apple to be sued by Google.

Come on, people, this is just a standard back-and-forth battle between two tech companies that keep leveraging a broken patent system. No need to get your fanboy rage in full force. Besides, some of the components in the iPhone are made by Samsung.

Yeah I know and also after all this they might still be working together. Something about Samsung making the screens for the iPhone 5s/6 or something like that.
