We will be able to make much of TMJ for the DSi, but parts of it need the speed of the 3DS. But really, there won't even be a game if the volunteers keep vanishing. I can't do everything on my own.
I wonder if some slimmed-down, barebones, limited, small-range version of the game can be created for DSi users. Low quality tiles, minimal animation, fewer features, reduced movement area, extreme code economisation--possibly à la HB Online Lite...difficult to tell given the browser's obvious and severe memory shortcomings, and that the assorted scripts haven't yet been sewn together online even on 3DS. Not to mention whether this is even desirable for the direction and scope of the project.
we want tmj dsi users dont give a crap about 3ds or 2ds we want dsi and ds theyer both great but what do we miss most? game systems like gamecube and the old-old gameboy right? SOME PEOPLE always wanna be advanced
What youve done cant be undone u can ask the person to forgive you but they wont forget until maby 92 years old they MIGHT forge
It's an understandable point. 3DS might be the latest tech, but this site is still visited by a DSi user majority even several years into 3DS's lifespan. Primary focus on the 3DS browser will not change anytime soon, and it only might change when the next handheld platform rolls out. If TMJ does in fact release for the 3DS browser, only after that is there chance for an economised DSi browser version to follow. If the 3DS era passes with no release: not only is the entire project in serious throes, but chances for a version designed for a handheld two generations back are slim to none. Time is a clear enemy.
