I think they should really make an English version of Fantasy Life. It looks soo amazing in the videos on YouTube. It's like a cross between Animal Crossing and an rpg style game. You choose a career class and all that, but you can kill stuff with this and it even has multiplayer. What are you thoughts?
And remember that bad times... are just times that are bad
I have only read and seen snippets and glimpses of this game. From what I gather, it's a life sim-adventure hybrid. Fairly uncommon. Rune Factory, the Harvest Moon spinoff with RPG-esque weapons and dungeons, does come to mind. Fantasy Life is probably closer to the interaction-driven gameplay of Magician's Quest: Mysterious Times, furthermore most likely a blend of them both with a slightly deeper plot. The key quality to these types of games is balance. When they get it right (especially on a handheld), I love it.
This was one of my favourite 3DS bits from E3. Loads of custom stuff, class roles, co-op, even reportedly over 20,000 pages of in-game text. The only minor aspect I was blah on was the borderline unoriginal art style. Gameplay looks really fun. I just hope the commitment level is low. ;)
