It's actually much easier to make games on a platform that is meant for them. One of the reasons why development has taken so long on the DSi browser is because I keep having to find work-arounds to get parts of the game in place. I've written scrolling tile engines, roaming NPCs, turn-based battles, and many more aspects of the game. They just have to be rewritten on the browser using tricks that take a lot of work.
As for the DSi dev kit, it's true that Nintendo declined to accept me as a developer because I do not have an off-site office. If you go to www.warioworld.com, you can see what they require for developers.
Maybe they will open the doors to indy developers for the 3DS now that they have all the competition from cell phone platforms.
the greatest thing about TMJ is the fact that its free..if you put it on dsiware,it will ruin that for people that dont want to spend the money..what youre doing is a great thing, and if you take it back now,it will disappoint many people..
Hull- thanks for putting so much work into creating this game for everyone, though, its not without appreciation..its more than i would commit to, and everyone even using the minigames and previews owes you big time..i was wondering though: are you going to be picked up by a software company, trying, or do you like to work solo?
