2 new sections

^That's exactly the issue. "Miscellaneous" is such a wide category. Because of that, it suffers from the fact that different users/admins have very different notions on how it should be properly used.

^Complaints can be submitted to the Helpdesk (located on the main page under General Sections). Just submit a new query and select the "Complaints" category.

Actually, I wouldn't mind a minimum number of characters in one post. :D

I agree with Pieboy. Back when i first joined, i saw how much crap there was in the Misc. boards. In hopes of finding a interesting conversation, i made a politics thread. The next day, it was buried in the 2nd or 3rd page.

Checking even locked threads is a responsibility of BB admins. Even such spam will not go undetected.

I must admit, as sludge-filled as the Misc. BB is, think about it: We need that sludge to be somewhere. If we were to split it up, y'know it'd be consumed the same way in a week. Basically, as much of a pet peeve that the Misc is, it's serving some purpose at least.
