Think logicly here: pokemon 1 as pokerus. pokemon 2 gets it, then spreads to yur team of 6 pokemon. It will go in a circle and spread back and fourth around your party. At least it worked for me.

Pokérus? Currently, only present in Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, HeartGold, and SoulSilver.

You're right, I did neglect the GBA games. Pokérus was in Gens. II and III, but the virus as we know it today is only in Gen IV and HG/SS.

PokéRus is utterly essential if you EV train- it doubles the EVs you receive per-battle.
