Ash's age doesn't matter, when he dies a large group of pokemon can just cry him back to life. but i'd have to say hes probably 16.

I don't think you can take seasons or regions into account. Some characters just never age.

yeah they do! in any anime or manga, the characters age and develop to different situations depending what there roll in the story is...
So u have to with pkmn. i know when ash was traveling through kanto. it took him several months just to get back to pallet town. plus u gotta listen to key words in the story.

You may be right. I never really watched, so I can't speak for Pokémon. But you can't deny that some shows still have characters which never get older.

heck when i was 12, i was really mean.but the main problem is Ash. hes like 13 or 14 and he crys over everything. maybe the only way 4 ash to really man-up is to get a girl friend. so he needs to make his mind up. Dawn, Misty, or May. i vote he choses Misty. but he needs to grow up.

Red, (the guy you play as in the originals, fire red and leaf green, as well as SSBB, and who Ash is based on) is 10 in the beginning of red/blue, 13 in yellow and when he became the champion, 14 in gold/silver, and 16 in fire red and leaf green(when he visited the sevii islands) I would assume he's 18 or 20 in heart gold and soul silver but i dont know for sure.

Ash however is 10.
