THATS AWSUM! but it would be hard to call admin only, but maybe the message can see them all(includin the admin) to not make it so hard, like a Twiit from Twiiter, but a Twiit that only admins can see.
I like the concept of the idea, but how in the world will the admins be alerted?
Maybe when someone uses it, a little banner/alert message will come up at the top of the screen for chatmod saying 'Please report to Chatroom Yoshi. tytygirl29 is ________'
To make it so you can't really accidently send an alert, have the user fill out a form
ex:
Username:tytygirl29
*Disturbing person:Iciownu
Reason: Picking fights at random people
Time: The time will automatically fill out Don't count on the idea, because Danny is very busy with other more important things. Just sayin.
(*Person who is causing the trouble.)
The alert can be sent to two chatmods who are online at the time.
Thats how I think it should be done successfully.
-Tyty =D
@Darmani First of all, that goes contrary to the purpose of obtaining moderation. And secondly, the overlords deal with unfavorable admin activity, not us.
@Darmani He said your suggestion is going against the main point in this thread(better moderation) and that overlords(i.e. Hullbreach, Savant, etc.) deal with admins who are not doing their jobs right, not us members.
Communism: You have more water, everyone has more water!
It wouldn't be misued if there was a proper form to be filled out.
'Iciownu isn't my friend' Person who reported that shall be banned
'Vermillion is cussing and starting fights' Verm will be banned.
I still dislike this idea.
One, you can just mail an admin.
Two, it would lag.
And three, it would be annoying for the admin..
Four, admins only ban if they have proof of something. So this idea isn't a good one.
Though even with a reason, the reason could be false as of which to purposely get someone banned for no reason. So it'll be abused in that way most likely, jealousy and hatred will be the cause of most abuse.
Now if multiple people report that person with a variation of the same reason as others it'll work. Though even in that case, people could get a group just to report some and get them banned. So it's a matter if this site has enough maturity to get a feture like this for possible benefits.
Don't argue with idiots because they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.
Right, so what happens is when you report a user, all there recent posts (-30 minutes to time of reporting) will show up on a page. Therefore you will have less time searching through because usually you report as soon as you see something bad. You'll have to type /report [user] if this gets accepted. Plus admins will get notified when a report comes through.
