Metal Slug. The military video game to rule them all. It was the iconic army game of its age, years before Halo, Team Fortress, and Call of Duty. Why? Because, though it wasn't the very first military game ever made, it revolutionized military-based games forever. With crisp graphics (for it's time), exciting levels, challenging bosses, and all sorts of dangerous weaponry, as well as kickass vehicles to ride in, Metal Slug was the very first army game to have even remotely realistic weapons, explosives, special effects, and combat modes, combined with some fun and non-realistic extras as well. Many of the military games today owe a lot to the Metal Slug series, and this blog is a tribute to the game that pretty much paved the way for all of the new military games after it. Anyone wishing to say a few words about this game may do so if they wish. (No negative comments, or they WILL be deleted!)
