Well, no, it's not illegal to have the same name. You can't have the same domain ending is all. Which is common sense really. So technically, if I wanted to, I could buy the name "www.dsipaint.net" and make a website out of it. That's why big name websites buy multiple domains for the same website. For example, Google has purchased "www.google.com" and "www.google.net"--and both go to the same place.

i never been on there. even know i saw this on a flipnote and it said www.dsibook.com. it was dumb. it was sorta of a scam. it didn't work. and it was a wast of time.
